Allendale, Mich. — Bart Williams completed 20 of 26 passes for 250 yards and three touchdowns, leading Grand Valley State to a 45-21 win over Wayne State in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Nick Dodson caught seven passes for 104 yards and one TD, and Chawntez Moss had 12 carries for 100 yards and two TD for the Lakers (10-1, 7-1 GLIAC), ranked No. 8 in Division II.

Jake AmRhein completed a 9-yard TD pass to  Darece Roberson with 5:40 left in the second quarter to pull Wayne State (2-9, 2-7) within 21-14. But the Lakers responded when Williams found Dodson on a 12-yard scoring pass from Williams to take a 28-14 lead into the half.

AmRhein completed 18 of 31 for 229 yards and two TD and James Hill rushed 13 times for 101 yards and one TD.

Wayne State outgained Grand Valley 471-413 in total offense yards.

Northwood 26, (at) Michigan Tech 23: Joe Garbarino ran for 121 yards and two scores while throwing a 15-yard TD strike to Gary Landless with 2:19 left to lead Northwood to victory (3-7, 3-5). Tyrik Wicks ran for 122 yards, including a score from 42 yards for Tech (4-6, 2-6).

(At) Ashland 41, Northern Michigan 7: Jake Mayon’s 5-yard scoring run in the third quarter set Northern Michigan’s single season rushing record. Mayon finished the season with 1,502 yards and 15 TDs while wrapping up his career with a school-record 4,200 yards. Billy Bahl was 12-of-18 for 152 yards passing, including four TDs, for Ashland (6-4, 6-2). Northern finishes 3-7, 1-7.

Ferris State 47, (at) William Jewell 6: Jayru Campbell (Cass Tech) was 21-of-32 for 241 yards passing and ran in for a score while Ferris State (11-0) finished the regular season unbeaten for the third time in five seasons. Malik Hazzard scored on runs from 3 and 1 yards for Ferris, which awaits its Division II playoff opponent on Sunday’s NCAA selection show at 5 p.m. Jewell falls to 1-9.

Saginaw Valley 24, (at) Davenport 17 (OT): Ryan Conklin scored on a 21-yard run on the first possession in overtime while Saginaw Valley stopped Davenport on the ensuing possession to secure the victory. Connor Luksic 31-yard field goal tied it 17-all with 11:16 left in the fourth quarter for Saginaw Valley (8-3, 5-3). Seth Acda ran for 93 yards, including a TD, for Davenport (5-5, 3-5).

Trine 48, (at) Kalamazoo 18: Lamar Carswell ran for 359 yards and four touchdowns, including a score from 77 yards, in leading undefeated Trine (10-0, 7-0). Zach Van Faussien passed for two scores and ran in one in from 20 yards for Kalamazoo (7-3, 4-3).

(At) Albion 35, Olivet 19: Kyle Thomas passed for 293 yards and four touchdowns, including a 93-yard scoring play to Brian Blanzy in the first quarter, to lead Albion (6-4, 4-3). Jamaul Martin scored on runs of 1 and 6 yards for Olivet (6-4, 4-3).

Hope 33, (at) Adrian 14: Mason Opple passed for 179 yards and two TDs while adding a pair of 1-yard scoring runs to aid Hope (8-2). Donald Scott had a 25-yard TD catch for Adrian (4-6).
