The Big Ten Network released times for most of its conference basketball lineup Tuesday and Michigan State and Michigan are featured prominently.
The Spartans host Indiana in a rare Monday game at 7 p.m. Jan. 5. It’s one of five Michigan State home games on the Big Ten Network, a slate which includes games against Northwestern, Penn State, Minnesota and Purdue. Michigan State also has road games against Northwestern and Illinois as well as a 9 p.m. game at Rutgers on Jan. 27.
Michigan has just one home game on the Big Ten Network, coming Jan. 17 against Northwestern. The Wolverines appear on the network on the road four times, including trips to Purdue, Penn State, Rutgers and Northwestern.
The Big Ten Network will televise a record number of conference games this season, featuring 77 conference matchups, including 10 straight weeks of “Super Wednesdays,” and five Big Ten tournament games for the first time in BTN history.
A special “Super Wednesday,” begins New Year’s Eve with a tripleheader, followed by doubleheaders throughout January and February.
The network’s coverage also will include Tuesday and Thursday games presented, frequent doubleheaders on Saturdays and Sundays, and for the first time in BTN history, a Monday night conference-play doubleheader on Jan. 5 featuring Indiana at Michigan State and Nebraska at Iowa.
