1. Wisconsin (28-3, 16-2)

Wisconsin clinched the title and finished things off with a big victory over Ohio State. The Badgers will have the top seed in this week's conference tournament and aim for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. Last week: 1

2. Maryland (26-5, 14-4)

After winning its last seven, Maryland finished second in its first season in the conference. Melo Trimble made a good run at freshman of the year. Last week: 2

3. Michigan State (21-10, 12-6)

Following two bad losses, Michigan State bounced back with victories over Purdue and Indiana to move up to the No. 3 seed. The Spartans will get Branden Dawson (concussion) back and look to improve their NCAA seed. Last week: 6

4. Iowa (21-10, 12-6)

After a rocky middle of the conference season (five losses in seven games), Iowa finished with six straight victories — all over teams in the bottom half of the standings. As the No. 5 seed, the Hawkeyes could be dangerous. Last week: 5

5. Purdue (20-11, 12-6)

Purdue stumbled on the road (Ohio State, Michigan Sate) but finished well with a victory over Illinois. A.J. Hammons has been good the second half, but will need to carry the Boilermakers to an NCAA Tournament run. Last week: 4

6. Ohio State (22-9, 11-7)

Ohio State had a letdown in the finale, a 24-point home loss to Wisconsin. D'Angelo Russell finished second in the Big Ten in scoring (19.2) and should be freshman of the year. Last week: 3

7. Illinois (19-12, 9-9)

Losing four of its last six put a dent in Illinois' NCAA Tournament chances. The Illini is the No. 9 seed in the tournament. Last week: 8

8. Indiana (19-12, 9-9)

Indiana's season went off the rails, with a three-game losing streak heading into the tournament. Is Tom Crean on the hot seat? Last week: 7

9. Michigan (15-15, 8-10)

Michigan squandered a late lead against Northwestern and lost in double overtime. In a victory over Rutgers, Aubrey Dawkins had eight 3-pointers, one off the school mark. Last week: 9

10. Northwestern (15-16, 6-12)

The season looked to be lost after a nine-game skid. but Northwestern won five of its last seven and vaulted into 10th. It's a good stretch for coach Chris Collins, who has plenty to build on. Last week: 11

11. Minnesota (17-14, 6-12)

If not for an unlikely overtime victory over Michigan State, Minnesota would have lost its last six. The loss to Penn State at the buzzer was emblematic of its rudderless season. Last week: 10

12. Penn State (16-15, 4-14)

D.J. Newbill 's buzzer-beater gave Penn State a lift in the finale (Minnesota) that ended a six-game skid. After a 12-1 start, the conference record was disappointing. Last week: 13

13. Nebraska (13-17, 5-13):

Nebraska was the most disappointing team in the Big Ten, losing 10 of its last 11. For coach Tim Miles, the offseason can't arrive soon enough. Last week: 12

14. Rutgers (10-21, 2-16)

Rutgers reached its peak Jan. 11, beating Wisconsin. Since then, it lost 14 straight. Last week: 14
