Tuesday’s basketball: Indiana wins eighth straight

Bloomington, Ind. — Yogi Ferrell scored 19 points and O.G. Anunoby 11 to lead Indiana past Wisconsin 59-58 on Tuesday.

The Hoosiers (13-3, 3-0 Big Ten) have won eight straight. Ferrell hit four free throws in the final 13.7 seconds.

Wisconsin (9-7, 1-2) was led by Bronson Koenig and Nigel Hayes who scored 15 apiece.

Indiana was without guard James Blackmon Jr., the team’s second-leading scorer, who is out indefinitely because of a right knee injury that required surgery.

(At) No. 19 Iowa 77, Nebraska 66: Jarrod Uthoff had 25 points and Iowa won its fifth straight while Mike Gesell had 22 points and 10 assists for his first career double-double for the surging Hawkeyes (12-3, 3-0 Big Ten). Tai Webster scored 22 points and Shavon Shields had 13 for Nebraska (8-8, 0-3).

Marquette 65, (at) No. 8 Providence 64: Henry Ellenson had 13 points and 10 rebounds, and he blocked Kris Dunn’s shot in the final second to lead Marquette (11-4, 1-2 Big East).

(At) LSU 85, No. 9 Kentucky 67: Tim Quarterman had 21 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists and Craig Victor added 15 points and 12 rebounds for LSU (9-5, 2-0 Southeastern Conference). Tyler Ulis had 23 points and Jamal Murray added 21 for Kentucky, (11-3, 1-1), which lost for the third time in seven games and had their 22-game SEC winning streak snapped.

No. 18 Butler 77, (at) DePaul 72: Kellen Dunham snapped out of his shooting slump with 24 points for Butler (12-3, 1-2). Myke Henry had 22 points and 10 rebounds for DePaul (6-9, 0-3), which has dropped three straight and six of seven.

No. 22 South Carolina 81, (at) Auburn 69: Sindarius Thornwell scored a season-high 22 for South Carolina (14-0, 1-0).
