The Big Ten released its men’s basketball conference schedule on Monday and Michigan and Michigan State fans won't be too pleased.
For the second time in three seasons, the Wolverines and Spartans will meet just once during the regular season, with the game to be played at the Breslin Center.
Last season, the rivals squared off twice in conference play with Michigan State defending its home court and pulling away late for a 70-62 win. In the rematch, Michigan got the last laugh by rolling to an 86-57 blowout win at Crisler Center.
The Spartans have won eight of the last 10 meetings in East Lansing, including the past two encounters. Michigan’s last win at the Breslin Center was an 80-75 upset on Jan. 25, 2014 when Michigan State was ranked No. 3 in the nation.
Each Big Ten team will play an 18-game conference slate with five home-and-away series and eight single-game opponents – four at home and four on the road.
Dates, times and TV broadcast information will be announced at a later date.
