Football start times announced for Michigan, MSU

Four start times for Michigan football and four for Michigan State were announced on Thursday.

Michigan’s second game of the season, and home-opener, against Western Michigan on Sept. 8 will kick off at noon and will be televised by FS1.

The Sept. 15 home game against SMU will start at 3:30 p.m. and will be televised by BTN, and the Oct. 6 homecoming game against Maryland will be at noon, with TV coverage to be determined.

The regular-season finale, at Ohio State on Nov. 24, will be at noon on Fox.

Michigan’s season-opener, at Notre Dame on Sept. 1, was previously announced as a 7:30 p.m. start on NBC.

Michigan State’s season-opener, at home against Utah State on Aug. 31, will start at 7 p.m. and will be on BTN. The second game, at Arizona State on Sept. 8, is a 10:45 p.m. kickoff on ESPN.

The Spartans’ homecoming game on Oct. 6, against Northwestern, will start at noon, with TV coverage to be determined, and the Oct. 13 game at Penn State will be at 3:30 or 4 p.m. on Fox or FS1.
