Detroit King’s Marvin Grant picks Purdue over Michigan, others
Marvin Grant, a four-star safety from Detroit King, on Friday committed to Purdue’s 2019 recruiting class.
Grant (6-2, 200), who is ranked the No. 19 safety nationally by the 247Sports Composite, had offers from a number of top programs, including Michigan and Notre Dame.
Grant was ranked the No. 7 player in the state by The Detroit News in its early preseason rankings published in February.
Grant made The Detroit News Dream Team after a 2017 season in which he had 47 tackles and four interceptions, returning two for touchdowns.
"Marvin did a great job in the back end, making a lot of tackles and a lot of big hits, just controlling the middle," King coach Tyrone Spencer said of Grant.
