'It's a city that's ready': Detroit making pitch for Big Ten Championship Game

Big Ten football fans who love that St. Elmo's shrimp, you might want to stuff your pockets this weekend.

The conference has held its football championship game in Indianapolis since its inception in 2011, but league officials announced this summer they are exploring the likelihood of rotating venues — starting as early as 2022. And Detroit's Ford Field might be atop the wish list for commissioner Kevin Warren and Co.
