Matt Charboneau, Angelique S. Chengelis, John Niyo and Bob Wojnowski of The Detroit News offer their expert opinions on the outcome of the Michigan State-Eastern Michigan game:

Matt Charboneau: Michigan State has had nearly two weeks to let the loss to Oregon simmer and will get its first crack at making amends Saturday. That's not exactly a good formula for Eastern Michigan, which has won five games the last three seasons. Michigan State should be able to move the ball at will while getting plenty of players work on defense. Michigan State 49-7

Angelique S. Chengelis: Michigan State hasn't played since losing at Oregon two weeks ago, and pity poor Eastern Michigan for the pounding it will face in East Lansing. Coach Mark Dantonio said he won't pile on points for the sake of impressing anyone, but the Spartans probably won't be able to help it. Michigan State 51-6

John Niyo: Running up the score isn't necessarily the plan. But running โ€” and running some more โ€” probably is for the Spartans. Michigan State 48-10

Bob Wojnowski: Will Michigan State overlook Eastern Michigan? Well, not officially, especially after stewing on the Oregon loss for a week. But the Spartans are human โ€” and also 45-point favorites. Mark Dantonio says he wouldn't consider piling up style points, so this should be a tedious stomping. Michigan State 41-6
