Michigan State, after a 73-14 win over Eastern Michigan, improved to No. 9 from No. 11 in this week's Associated Press college football poll.

The Spartans (2-1), are the highest-ranked team with a loss. They host Wyoming on Saturday at noon (ESPN2).

The top seven teams in the poll remained unchanged, led by No. 1 Florida State, which beat ACC rival Clemson in overtime on Saturday night.
