Matt Charboneau: Indiana is fighting an uphill battle as it is forced to turn to its third-string quarterback. RB Tevin Coleman has been outstanding, but the Hoosiers will be one-dimensional, playing right into the Michigan State defense’s hands. Expect a four-quarter effort from the Spartans this week as they gain momentum heading into the Michigan game. Michigan State 49-17.

Angelique S. Chengelis: Indiana is now down a starting quarterback in Nate Sudfeld (separated left shoulder, season) and his backup, leaving freshmen Zander Diamont to work with. This is going to be ugly for Indiana. Michigan has a bye this weekend before playing at Michigan State, and the Spartans now essentially have a bye today. Michigan State 52-3

Bob Wojnowski: The Spartans catch a break with QBs Nate Sudfeld and Chris Covington out, but the Hoosiers still can score. They can’t stop anybody, though, so Michigan State’s offense should take charge, and Connor Cook is advised to maintain charge all the way to the end. The fourth-quarter letdowns can’t continue, and probably won’t. Michigan State 42-20

John Niyo: The Hoosiers push the tempo, but this isn’t the trap it could’ve been. Not with a true freshman making his first start at quarterback. Michigan State 38-17
