MSU No. 12 in AP poll; Oregon and Alabama are 3-4

Michigan State fell to No. 12 from No. 7 in this week's Associated Press poll following Saturday night's 49-37 loss to Ohio State.

The Buckeyes climbed to No. 8 from No. 13.

Auburn had been ranked No. 3 but fell to ninth after the upset loss to Texas A&M.

Mississippi State and Florida State at 1-2 are followed by Oregon and Alabama in the top four.

The new College Football Playoff rankings will be released Tuesday night.
