Deyonta Davis, a senior from Muskegon who will play next season at Michigan State, is one of 24 players named to the McDonald's All-American team, announced Wednesday.

The 6-foot-9 power forward will play for the West team in the all-star game April 1 at the United Center in Chicago. Tipoff for the game is at 9 p.m. on ESPN.

Davis joins 6-5 shooting guard Matt McQuaid of Duncanville, Texas, and 6-4 guard Kyle Ahrens of Versailles, Ohio, in coach Tom Izzo's 2015 class. Davis is the crown jewel of the trio, considered a five-star prospect and the No. 16 player in the ESPN 100.

Also on the West team is 6-8 center and five-start prospect Caleb Swanigan of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Swanigan is uncommitted, and considered a top target for Michigan State.
