Report: Appling earns two-year deal with Magic

Former Michigan State guard Keith Appling and the Orlando Magic have agreed on a two-year contract, according to a report.

RealGM says the Magic were impressed by Appling in the Orlando Summer League, where he averaged 15.6 points, three rebounds and three assists in five games.

Appling, 23, a 6-1 point guard, was not drafted after leaving Michigan State in 2014. He played in the NBA Development League last season.

Appling, from Detroit Pershing, played in 142 games at MSU, averaging 10.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists.
