Reports: MSU lands offensive lineman from Ohio
Just days after Michigan State backed away from offensive line commit Gavin Cupp, the Spartans landed a commitment from another Ohio offensive lineman.
According to reports at 247sports and Scout.com, A.J. Arcuri, a 6-foot-6, 255-pound offensive lineman from Powell (Ohio) Olentangy Liberty gave the Spartans his commitment on Monday.
Arcuri is a three-star prospect and is ranked the No. 70 offensive tackle in the nation by 247sports and No. 82 by Scout.com. Arcuri had offers from the likes of Pittsburgh, Indiana and Illinois, among others.
The commitment came after Cupp reportedly lost his scholarship offer after attending a camp at Ohio State. Cupp did not return a message left by The News.
Michigan State now has three offensive lineman committed for the 2016 class, including Matt Allen of Hinsdale (Ill.) Central and Thiyo Lukusa of Wayne (N.J.) DePaul Catholic.
