Michigan State's team arrives at rainy Spartan Stadium on Saturday.

East Lansing – Michigan State enters today's noon matchup with Air Force short a couple of starters from a week ago.

Right tackle Kodi Kieler was hurt in the first quarter against Oregon and will miss at least a couple of weeks with a right leg injury. That much was known going into the Air Force game.

The unknown was whether redshirt freshman cornerback Vayante Copeland would play. He was hurt in the fourth quarter against Oregon but remained No. 1 on the depth chart this week.

However, he is not dressed and won't play.

That will likely mean more time for a host of backups, including fifth-year senior Arjen Colquhoun and juniors Jermaine Edmondson and Darian Hicks.
