Report: MSU’s Cook declines Senior Bowl invitation
Michigan State quarterback Connor Cook has declined an invitation to the Senior Bowl, Dane Brugler of CBSSports.com reported on Sunday.
Cook, considered the top senior prospect at quarterback for April’s NFL draft, was replaced by Brandon Allen of Arkansas.
Cook injured his right shoulder on Nov. 14 against Maryland and returned two weeks later against Penn State. He played in the Big Ten championship game and the Cotton Bowl, but he didn;t play they way he had before suffering the injury.
Three Spartans — center Jack Allen, receiver Aaron Burbridge and defensive end Shilique Calhoun — will attend the Senior Bowl, to be held Jan. 30 at Mobile, Alabama. Defensive lineman Lawrence Thomas also has been invited, 247Sports,com reported.
