Report: Top running back to visit Michigan State

Michigan State is receiving an official visit from the No. 2 running back prospect in the nation, according to 247Sports.

Miles Sanders, a 5-foot-11, 199 running back from Woodland Hills High in Pittsburgh, is a Penn State commitment. Rivals, Scout and 247Sports all have Sanders as the No. 2 back in the country.

Penn State recently lost its offensive line coach and running game coordinator, Herb Hand, to Auburn.

Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio and offensive line coach Mark Staten visited Sanders on Thursday, according to 247Sports.

Sanders is scheduled to take an official visit to Michigan State on Jan. 29. National Signing Day is Feb. 3.
