Madison, Wis. — Coming off its second loss of the season, No. 4 Michigan State is making changes to its starting lineup, and it’s not just because of performance.
Sophomore guard Lourawls “Tum Tum” Nairn Jr. will not play Sunday against Wisconsin and likely will miss “a couple of weeks for sure,” coach Tom Izzo said, because of plantar fasciitis in his right foot. Nairn has been bothered by the injury all season and Izzo said it has gotten to the point where Narin needs to take some time off.
Freshman Matt McQuaid will get his first career start in place of Nairn.
That wasn’t the only change, however, as Izzo said freshman Deyonta Davis will get is first career start in place of junior Gavin Schilling and junior Eron Harris will start in place of senior Bryn Forbes.
