Once again, the Michigan State and Maryland women’s basketball teams will have to wait.

Inclement weather once again postponed the Big Ten game between the Spartans and Terrapins, rescheduled for Monday in College Park, Maryland, after getting wiped out Saturday. A new date hasn’t been announced.

The showdown pits a pair of Top 25 programs, with Michigan State (14-4, 5-2 Big Ten) moving up to No. 18 in Monday’s new Associated Press poll, and Maryland (17-2, 6-1) holding steady at No. 5.

The Spartans moved up three spots after winning their only game last week, a 59-48 victory at home against Rutgers. Michigan State has won 10 of its last 12.

The only other Big Ten team in the Top 25 is Ohio State (15-4, 7-1) at No. 7. Unbeaten UConn remains the top-ranked team in the country.

Michigan State’s next scheduled game is at home Wednesday against Purdue (15-4, 6-2), which received 17 points in this week’s poll.
