Spartans keep No. 2 spot in AP poll

Michigan State remained the No. 2 team for the second week in the Associated Press college basketball poll.

The Spartans (26-5), who enter this week’s Big Ten tournament as the No. 2 seed, received two of 65 first-place votes.

Kansas remained the No. 1 team by earning 63 first-place votes.

The top six teams were unchanged. MSU was followed by Villanova, Virginia, Xavier and Oklahoma.
