Michigan State received its second football commitment in two days on Wednesday when running back Weston Bridges of Akron Copley announced he would attend Michigan State.
Bridges (5-foot-11, 191), a three-star prospect, is the eighth player of the class of 2017 to commit to the Spartans. He picked MSU over Indiana, Purdue, Rutgers and Syracuse. He is the third player from Ohio in the class.
Bridges ran for 1,624 yards and 29 touchdowns as a junior.
