Undecided Bowen has Twitter page: Did Tugs Commit Yet

The Detroit News

Brian Bowen promised he’d have his college choice by the end of April. It’s now May and the former Saginaw Arthur Hill star has yet to make a choice.

A cousin of Michigan State great Jason Richardson and a teammate of Spartans signee Jalen Jackson at La Lumiere School in LaPorte, Indiana, the five-star recruit originally was though to be a lock for the Spartans. But those days ended long ago. In recent weeks the 6-foot-7 guard/forward has been rumored to be headed to Arizona or Creighton, Now the hot rumor is DePaul, which recently hired Bowen’s high school and AAU coaches as assistants.

La Lumiere teammate and Michigan signee Jordan Poole recently teased Bowen, known as “Tugs,” on his Twitter page. “I thought you were deciding in April. April fools,” Poole wrote.

A Twitter page was created Sunday in Bowen’s honor called: Did Tugs Commit Yet.

It features a picture of Bowen and two entries — one from Sunday: “No.” and Monday:“Still no.”

Bowen has until May 17 to sign a national letter-of-intent but he can sign a scholarship at any time.
