Michigan State is the No. 1 basketball team in the land, according to Associated Press voters.

And now, the Spartans are the favorite to win the national championship, according to Bovada oddsmakers.

In odds released Wednesday, Michigan State is a 4-1 favorite, the same as its odds from a month ago. But Duke is down from 4-1 to 9-2, leaving the Spartans atop the list.

Villanova (6-1), Arizona (9-1) and Kentucky (12-1) round out Bovada’s top five.

The next Big Ten team is Purdue, at 40-1.

Michigan (13-3, 2-1 Big Ten) is a 100-1 long shot.

The Spartans (14-1, 2-0) play host to Maryland on Thursday night. They remain the last Big Tne team to win a national championship, in 2000.
