Michigan State earned a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament and opens March Madness with a 2:45 p.m. game Friday against Middle Tennessee at St. Louis.

Denzel Valentine is a National Player of the Year candidate, but he can’t do it all for Michigan State.

The Spartans all season long have pointed to winning the national championship as their goal – not simply just making another Final Four.

While Middle Tennessee is only a No. 15 seed from a lower conference (Conference USA), the Blue Raiders do boast some individual talent. They’re not backing down from the impressive challenge they will face against the Spartans.
