Report: Green’s Olympic team status unaffected

Draymond Green’s legal situation in Michigan over his arrest for allegedly assaulting a former Michigan State football player will not affect his standing on the U.S. Olympic basketball team, according to a report.
Team USA coach Mike Krzyzewski said Green will not be punished, Ben Golliver of Sports Illustrated wrote on Twitter.
Golliver said Krzyzewski joked of the situation: “It's unfortunate. We hung him by the thumbs for two hours.”
Green, a former Michigan State star, was arrested by East Lansing Police on July 10 for allegedly striking former MSU football player Jermaine Edmondson.
A pretrial hearing for Green’s case is scheduled for Thursday in 54B District Court in East Lansing.
Green, who plays for the Golden State Warriors, is in Las Vegas this week for a pre-Olympic camp with the U.S. national team.
