MSU's Miles Bridges grabs second Big Ten award

Michigan State’s Miles Bridges was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week on Tuesday, the second time this season he’s earned that honor.

Bridges averaged 19.3 points, eight rebounds and two blocks per game in Michigan State’s three games in the Battle 4 Atlantis.

The star from Flint scored 22 points, grabbed a season-high 15 rebounds and added three assists and a block in a win over St. John’s in the opening round of the Battle 4 Atlantis. Bridges added 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting while pulling down five rebounds and blocking three shots in a loss to Baylor

Bridges led the bounce-back in the third-place game against Wichita State, scoring 21 points while grabbing four rebounds and blocking two shots in the victory.

Bridges leads Michigan State in scoring (17.4), rebounding (8.7) and total blocked shots (12).
