Miles Bridges goes through warm-ups with MSU
East Lansing – Michigan State freshman Miles Bridges was back on the court on Friday night, going through warm-ups as the Spartans got set to tip-off with Northwestern.
The odds of the forward getting back in game action remained slim, however, as coach Tom Izzo has said repeatedly that he would be especially cautious with the team’s leading scorer and rebounder. Bridges has missed the last six games with an injured left ankle and went through his most extensive workouts.
“He’s so excited to get started, but I can’t go on what he thinks,” Izzo said on Thursday. “I can go on how he feels but still have to make a decision and that will be, for me, a very educated one as far as (talking to) people about what they think and what the doctors say. We just want to make sure it doesn’t linger, but he’s getting closer.”
The better chance of Bridges (16.6 points, 8.8 rebounds) returning will be on Wednesday when Michigan State hosts Rutgers.
