WR C.J. Hayes flips from Purdue to MSU
With less than 24 hours until National Signing Day, Michigan State added another member to its 2017 class.
Bowling Green (Ky.) South Warren receiver C.J. Hayes verbally committed to the Spartans Tuesday morning after being committed to Purdue since June.
According to Scout.com's Allen Trieu, Hayes was offered by Michigan State on Thursday and took an official visit over the weekend before flipping his commitment.
"I'm glad it's over, but it's a dream school and it made it a lot easier to pick them," Hayes told Scout.com. "Looking back on it now, I'm glad I went through it (the recruiting process) but I'm glad it's over."
Hayes (6-foot-3, 200) is a three-star prospect, and is ranked the No. 1 receiver in Kentucky and No. 10 in the Midwest.
