MSU's Jaren Jackson named Big Ten freshman of week

Michigan State's Jaren Jackson Jr. has been named Big Ten freshman of the week after averaging 14.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 4.7 blocks and going 13-of-20 (.650) from the field in three Spartans' victories.
It's the fourth time this season the 6-foot-11 forward has received the honor.
The La Lamiere High standout scored a career-high 21 points and added 11 rebounds for his sixth double-double this season to go along with six blocks in MSU's win at Illinois Jan. 22.
Jackson set the school single-season record for blocks with four in Friday's 76-61 win over Wisconsin, which gave him 75 for the campaign. He finished with 11 points and seven rebounds against the Badgers.
In Sunday's 74-68 win over Maryland, he finished with 12 points, eight rebounds and four blocks.
