Travis Lynch and Andrew Copp scored in the third period as Michigan pulled away for a 6-3 hockey victory over American International at Yost Arena Saturday.

Lynch also gave the Wolverines (4-5-0) their first lead with a goal at 10:41 of the first period.

Also scoring for Michigan were Zach Hyman, Alex Kile and Cristoval Nieves. Zach Werenski had a pair of assists, and Zach Nagelvoort made 21 saves.

Hunter Leisner stopped 40 shots for American International (2-7-1), which was outshot, 46-24.
