Michigan PA announcer to miss Saturday's game
Michigan Stadium public address announcer Carl Grapentine will miss Saturday's football against Maryland. Grapentine is recovering from a leg injury.
Saturday is Senior Day where 12 senior players will be honored before the last home game of the season.
Grapentine has been the Michigan Stadium PA announcer since 2006, replacing longtime PA Howard King who retired after 34 years.
Grapentine had been the UM Marching Band PA announcer for 36 years prior to becoming the stadium PA announcer. He's worked at classical radio stations WFMT in Chicago and WQRS in Detroit.
