Michigan will hit the court Monday night in Brooklyn, New York, fresh off a nice bump in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.

Victories this week over Bucknell and Detroit helped Michigan (3-0) move up five spots — the biggest move up among teams who were in the poll last week — to No. 19, and one spot ahead of rival Michigan State (2-1).

Michigan State dropped one spot in the poll after splitting its two games last week, including an 81-71 loss to No. 4 Duke in the Champions Classic in Indianapolis.

In the coaches poll, Michigan moved up four spots to No. 18, while Michigan State remained at No. 19.

Both teams play Monday night, with Michigan taking on Oregon (3-0) in the Legends Classic, and Michigan State playing Santa Clara (2-1) in the Orlando Classic.

Kentucky strengthened its grip on the No. 1 ranking, following its rout of Kansas in the Champions Classic last week. Wisconsin moved into a tie with Arizona at No. 2, and was the only other team than Kentucky to receive first-place votes, with three.

Ohio State moved up four spots to No. 16, giving the Big Ten four teams in the Top 25.
