Michigan overcame a 13-point deficit to take the lead early in the second half and go on to a 73-66 victory over Northwestern at Evanston, Illinois, on Saturday.

Shannon Smith and Siera Thompson each scored 20 for Michigan (12-5, 4-2 Big Ten).

Cyesha Goree added 18 points and Nicole Elmblad had nine rebounds for the Wolverines.

For Northwestern (13-4, 3-3), Maggie Lyon had 17 points and Alex Cohen scored 16.
