Michigan tight end Jake Butt, who suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament last February but played last season, has undergone minor arthroscopic knee surgery.

Butt is expected to make a full recovery and will participate in spring football, according to a Michigan official Friday. He returned to the field last season after six and a half months of rehab on his right knee.

He will be a junior this fall.
