Andrew Copp leaves Michigan, signs with Jets

Forward Andrew Copp will not return to Michigan for his senior season after signing a three-year contract with the Winnipeg Jets. Copp, 20, was drafted by the Jets in the fourth round in 2013.
The Jets said the average annual value of Copp's contract is $958,300.
Copp (6-0, 210) played in 107 games for the Wolverines and had 40 goals and 41 assists.
He had a UM career-best 31 points (14 goals, 17 assists) this season and was named All-Big Ten second team.
Copp is from Ann Arbor and played football for Skyline High and hockey for the U.S. National Development team.
