Michigan swim team third at NCAAs

The Michigan men's swimming team finished third in the NCAA championships on Saturday in Iowa City, Iowa.

The Wolverines totaled 312 points, behind Texas (528) and California (399).

Freshman PJ Ransford finished second in the 1,650-yard freestyle in 14:34.36 and junior Dylan Bosch was third in the 200-yard butterfly in 1:40.12 to lead the Wolverines.

In addition, Bruno Ortiz was fourth in the 100-yard freestyle, Richard Funk was eighth in the 200-yard breaststroke and Tristan Sanders was ninth in the 200-yard backstroke.

The Wolverines were also sixth in the 400-yard freestyle relay (Paul Powers, Justin Glanda, Anders Nielsen, Ortiz).
