Four-star RB Washington would be 'big prize' for Harbaugh
Robert Washington, a four-star running back from Huntersville, N.C., will reveal his college choice on Saturday at 3 p.m., and Michigan is one of six finalists.
The other finalists are Alabama, Florida, North Carolina, Syracuse, Texas Christian and Washington.
Washington (5-10, 215 pounds), rated the No. 21 running back in the nation for 2016 by Scout.com, has has been timed at 4.47 seconds in the 40-yard dash.
Washington, who played at SouthLake Christian Adademy in Huntersville, evaluated his finalists for Mike McAllister of Scout.com.
Of Michigan, Washington told McAllister: "Coach Harbaugh knows how to produce a pro back. Produce a pro period. When they first came in, they started recruiting me hard. I talked to Coach Harbaugh on the phone maybe four or five times. He just told me I'm one of their big prizes and I'm the No. 1 guy on their board. So that made me feel special coming from a guy like Coach Harbaugh."
Michigan already has two running back commitments in the 2016 class -- Matt Falcon of Southfield and Kingston Davis of Prattville, Ala.
Washington plans on enrolling early in college.
