Michigan women win Big Ten tennis tournament

Michigan's women's tennis team beat Ohio State 4-0 on Sunday in Evanston, Illinois, to win the Big Ten tournament title for the first time since 1997. Michigan also won the automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

It was the 18th straight victory for the Wolverines (24-3), who set a school record for wins.

Earning points in singles for Michigan (24-3) were Emina Bektas at No. 1, Ronit Yurovsky at No. 2 and Sarah Lee at No. 4.

Michigan's Bektas and Alex Najarian prevailed at No. 1 doubles, and Yurovsky and Lee won at second doubles.

Michigan will find out where it will play in the NCAA Tournament on Tuesday.
