Bowl forecast: MSU in Rose, UM in Foster Farms

Michigan State in the Rose Bowl and Michigan in the Foster Farms Bowl in Jim Harbaugh's former home in San Francisco.

That's what ESPN's Mitch Sherman forecasts in his bowl predictions for Big Ten teams this coming season.

He also sees defending national champion Ohio State in the College Football Playoff again, as one of 10 Big Ten teams qualifying for the postseason.

The Foster Farms Bowl was played in the new Levi's Stadium for the first time in 2014, with Stanford defeating Maryland 45-21.

The game began in 2002 as the San Francisco Bowl; it also has been called the Emerald Bowl and the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl.

Holiday Bowl: Minnesota

Music City Bowl or TaxSlayer Bowl: Penn State

Foster Farms Bowl: Michigan

New Era Pinstripe Bowl: Iowa

Quick Lane Bowl (Detroit): Maryland

Armed Forces Bowl or Heart of Dallas Bowl: Rutgers
