After getting a commitment from a five-star wing earlier Monday, Michigan coach John Beilein had another addition to the 2015 class, getting Hudsonville wing Brent Hibbitts to commit as a preferred walk-on.

Hibbitts, a 6-foot-8 forward who visited Michigan last week, averaged 17.3 points, 11 rebounds and 2.4 blocks in his senior season. He considered scholarship offers from Central Michigan, Toledo, American and Youngstown State and other schools.

He likely will add depth at the forward positions, if needed, much like walk-ons Andrew Dakich and Sean Lonergan did this season, due to a spate of injuries to starters Caris LeVert and Derrick Walton Jr.

Michigan also got a verbal commitment from five-star guard Tyus Battle Monday afternoon.
