No. 3-ranked Michigan will play No. 5 Alabama in the first game of Women's College World Series Thursday at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City (ESPN2). First pitch is 7 p.m.

The winner advances to play the Oregon-UCLA winner at 9:30 p.m. Friday (ESPN2). The two losers play at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in an elimination game.

Brackets were announced Sunday for the eight-team field in the double-elimination tournament.

The Crimson Tide (47-13) is making its 10th trip to the World Series, fourth in the past five years. Alabama won the series in 2012 and was runner-up last year.

The Wolverines (56-6) are going to their 11th World Series, second in the past three years. UM won the title in 2005.

UM advanced after edging No. 14 Georgia in the NCAA Super Regional before 2,582 fans at the Wilpon Complex on Friday.
