Four-star WR Ahmir Mitchell to pick UM or OSU Thursday

Ahmir Mitchell, a four-star receiver from Cedar Creek High in Egg Harbor City, N.J., will announce his college decision on Thursday.

It is expected that he will choose Michigan or Ohio State, with the Wolverines considered the favorites by most recruiting analysts.

Mitchell is rated the No. 24 receiver in the nation for 2016 and the No. 1 receiver in New Jersey by Scout.com.

Mitchell had 47 catches for 872 yards and 12 TD last season for Cedar Creek.

"Mitchell is a long and athletic, and gets down the field well," national recruiting analyst Brian Dohn wrote for Scout.com. "He has good hands and knows how to use his body to gain position against smaller defensive backs. He comes out of breaks well but needs to be a bit more precise in his route running."
