Jim Harbaugh prefers pleated khakis; his wife does not.

Michigan has not played since losing in the final 10 seconds to Michigan State, 27-23, on a botched punt that was fumbled and returned for the game-winning score by the Spartans.

On Thursday, during his weekly appearance on the "Stoney and Bill Show" on WXYT-FM (97.1), coach Jim Harbaugh was asked if an ending like that is hard to forget.

"It's always been my experience it's different with each person," Harbaugh said. "There are people who can leave the game, the game is over and they don't think about it. I'm not one of those people. There are other people that I've heard it takes 24 hours or 48 hours to get over a game and move on to the next one whether you win or lose. There's others it takes to the next game or the next win if you're coming off of a loss to erase the bad taste in your mouth. I'd put myself in that category. There's only one mouthwash for that bad taste in your mouth and that's playing and winning the next game."

Other topics Harbaugh touched on during the interview:

* On the Little Brown Jug, which the Gophers have had since winning in Ann Arbor last year: "We consider it one of the iconic trophies, and we want it."

* On whether a trophy game carries more importance: "Every game you play if you rated it, it would be a 10 out of a 10."

* On if it's strange to see people dressed as him for Halloween: "It's flattering. I like that. It's a pretty simple costume, you know — a hat, a sweatshirt and khakis. I like the pleated ones, but don't tell (my wife) Sarah I said that. My favorite (brand) is the Dickies, but I like the other ones too. Sometimes people just send me khakis. I've got the Dockers, the other ones ... and I wear 'em."
