It’s not just the pundits who are climbing aboard the Michigan bandwagon for the 2016 season.

Las Vegas is, too, apparently, as the Wolverines own 15/1 odds to win next season’s national championship game in Tampa, Fla., according to bookmaker William Hill.

That’s tied for fifth best, along with Ohio State, Notre Dame, Stanford, Florida State, and Tennessee.

Michigan is coming off a 10-3 showing in coach Jim Harbaugh’s first season, which included a 41-7 thrashing of Florida in Citrus Bowl.

Clemson is the early favorite at 6/1, followed by Alabama (7/1), Oklahoma (10/1) and Baylor (12/1).

Michigan State, which is coming off an appearance in the College Football Playoff, has 30/1 odds. The Spartans are the defending Big Ten champions and finished No. 6 in the final rankings.
