UM gets 3-star OT Stephen Spanellis to flip

Michigan boosted its freshman class to 22 with the late Thursday night addition of three-star offensive tackle Stephen Spanellis, who had been committed to Virginia.

Spanellis is 6-foot-5, 295 pounds and goes to Baltimore Gilman High.

Spanellis announced his decision on Twitter: "This was a difficult decision for me, but I had to do what I felt was best for me and my family. #GoBlue."
