Brian Cole, who arrived at Michigan as a receiver out of Saginaw Heritage, reportedly is transferring to Kentucky, according to Rivals.com Sunday.

The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Cole, who played in two games early in the season, practiced at safety during Michigan's bowl practices.

Late last month, in response to reports Cole had been released by the program, Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh would only say that Cole was in school.

Cole was a Detroit News Blue Chip player as a high school senior. He will have to sit out this fall and will have three years of eligibility.

Running back Derrick Green also reportedly will transfer from Michigan. Four others players — Ross Taylor-Douglas, Allen Gant, Terry Richardson and Tom Strobel have all left Michigan as graduate transfers. Willie Henry opted for an early for the NFL draft.
