Tony Tuioti has been named Michigan’s director of player personnel by coach Jim Harbaugh. He has been defensive quality control coach for the Cleveland Browns the last two seasons.

Tuioti’s focus with the Browns was the defensive line.

As a player, Tuioti was an All-WAC defensive lineman for Hawaii and received his undergraduate degree from that school in 2000. He was an assistant for the Rainbow Warriors as director of player personnel (2008-09), defensive tackles coach (2010-11) and linebackers coach (2012-13).

Michigan’s director of player personnel last season was Chris Partridge, who was promoted to linebackers and special teams coach.
