Michigan has picked up its first commitment for the 2018 class.
Ohio linebacker Antwuan Johnson, rated four stars by 247Sports, announced his commitment Monday night on Twitter. Johnson is a 6-foot-1, 210 pounder from Springfield (Ohio) High.
Michigan I just think is the right fit for me,” Johnson told Josh Newkirk of Scout.com. “They are building a great program up there in Ann Arbor. I feel like this year coming up they have a chance to compete for the Big Ten title and probably for a national championship. I just felt like I wanted to be a part of that.”
Johnson was recruited by defensive coordinator Don Brown and defensive backs coach Mike Zordich, according to 247Sports. He also had offers from Kentucky and Louisville.
