Michigan’s scheduling has been a hot topic of discussion lately.

Some say the Wolverines schedule too easy. Coach John Beilein dismisses that.

In any event, it seems UM is set to bring a heavy hitter to the schedule.

CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein reported Monday night that Michigan and UCLA have agreed to a two-year home-and-home series, with the teams playing at UCLA this coming season and in Ann Arbor in 2017-18.

This coming season, UM’s schedule now includes UCLA, the 2K Sports Classic at Madison Square Garden in New York — with SMU, Pitt and Marquette possible opponents — and Cincinnati, as part of a combined deal with football years ago.

The ACC-Big Ten Challenge features a TBA opponent.

The rest of the schedule has yet to be released.
